Hey y’all! My name is Nikki and I am a new addition to the “E”motioned News Team as well. I hail from the state of Georgia where heat is hot and our tea is sweet. Well that is the series thus far but a little birdie has told me that there is another book being released later this year called Hansel’s Bear. Whew! I can’t wait! I am a Yvette Hines’ fan so she never disappoints in anything she writes. If you have read the series, please post how you liked it and some other suggestions of books by Yvette. Lily White has given her readers another AMAZING read!!! I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest opinion and all I can say is WOW!!! This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster. Be warned that there are no puppies and rainbows in this book 😉 This book kept me on the edge of my seat until the very last page. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of dark reads.

I LOVE This series!!! Christa Cervone is an AMAZING storyteller and has hit gold with not only this book, but also with book one of the series – On the Ropes!!! I could not put this book down once I started reading it. The characters are well-developed and REAL. I felt like I was watching the story play out, not reading it. This is a book that I will be reading again and encouraging my friends to read as well. I cannot wait to read more from Miss Cervone!

“All of Me” by Gina Sorelle – Review

Hello all! E already introduced me, but I figured I would introduce myself again. I’m Kendra, one of the new team members for The “E” Motioned News! This book holds such a special place in my heart, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

Stella Ciaramitaro spent the last year battling a disease that tried to take her life…and take her away from her four crazy, pain-in-the-butt sisters, occasionally suicidal father, and career as an Emergency Room nurse. Stella’s disease wreaked a lot of havoc, leaving her with visible and invisible scars, but she’s hanging in there. Doing just fine, actually. 

Or she was until HE showed up. 

Nathan Drazek is a mess and he knows it. A childhood full of mental and physical abuse, four tours in Afghanistan, and ten years policing one of the toughest beats in East Cleveland have left him aloof and nearly incapable of interpersonal relationships. But that’s okay, because Nathan isn’t interested in anything more than just getting by. 

Or he wasn’t until SHE showed up. 

From the moment Nathan nearly arrests Stella, sparks fly, limits are tested, and boundaries are shattered. A tenuous, tender friendship quickly evolves into something powerfully passionate they cannot wish away or control. As they grow closer, new issues arise and old hurts resurface, threatening to destroy their fragile new beginning. 

 

With everything at stake, Nathan and Stella must ultimately decide which runs deeper: their scars or their love.

“All of Me” by Gina Sorelle is one of those books that grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let go until the words “The End” appear. The relationship between Stella and Nathan is so complicated but works so well. Nathan carries this great weight on his shoulders, he’s weighed down so much from his past that he can’t begin to allow himself to see the possibility of a future with anyone, let alone anyone like Stella. Stella hasn’t had things too easy herself, she is a breast cancer survivor, and with her cancer (I believe) has helped give her this ability to persevere in the toughest of times. Being with someone, romantically or not, who has PTSD is not an easy thing, but she does it.       There was never a sense of “oh I know what’s going to happen next!” with this book, I never knew what was next with either of them, which in my recent history of reading, is a common theme/ happening.       The supporting characters were fantastic! I loved Stella’s family, her sisters cracked me up. They reminded me of my relationship with my own sister, even though we don’t live near each other, we still communicate and would go to the wall for one another. Danny, Nathan’s partner, was so funny. He was at times like an adolescent male but then he would come out with the most profound things and get to Nathan when Nathan most needed it. The two of them weren’t just partners or friends, they were family.       Overall, this book was a total 5 star read for me. There were a couple typos or things that didn’t make complete sense to me but I could completely overlook them because this book was just that good.
